BE A BOSS: ENCOURAGE AND ENDORSE FEMININE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Be a Boss is a national event in France that supports women-run businesses, existing or in development.  A new edition of this event, including a Caribbean competition, will take place in 2023.

Inspiring, energizing, motivating, supportive, visionary… the accolades about the Be a Boss Tour are simply glowing. Organized for the past nine years in France, it will set off on a Caribbean tour in 2023. Presented as the “unique national forum dedicated female entrepreneurs,” it provides an annual opportunity for businesswomen with innovative projects to meet with their peers and with economic leaders.  “The heart of the event, the Be a Boss Awards, allows for entrepreneurial gems to shine at the level of their ambitions,” explains Claudy Lombion, director of Dylis Communication, who runs the event on a regional level. Between January and May 2023, women with an entrepreneurial spirit can submit their candidature. After a preselection, seven  startups will be retained at each stop on the tour: Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélémy. Two winners will be selected by the jury during the regional finals of the 2023 Antilles Guiana Be a Boss Awards. Then on September 21 2023 in Paris, the closing ceremony will honor the three startup laureates of the 2023 Awards. The benefits of Be a Boss goes beyond the quest for a title:  expand one’s vision, develop one’s network,  secure financing… the event offers the opportunity for an enriching experience.
